Worked with executive management of an electronics design and manufacturer to assess and revise company vision leading to major new business units. Led initiative to build a comprehensive strategy and implement a complete operational plan to enter the first major new market, leveraging existing competencies. First contract received in 6 months. The business continues to build momentum.

Helped owner of a high performance technical products company evaluate strategic and organizational options for expansion versus exit that included personal objectives. Assessed financial plans and potential funding, market expansion opportunities, staffing and asset requirements for expansion. Developed alternative plans for exit.

With top management, created new business pursuit strategies and restructured the customer facing part of a component and subsystem company. Added business development, and customer support functions, processes, forecasting tools and databases from the ground up. Assisted with training, reassignment and addition of new staff. Added Services
Completed market assessment, identified opportunities, established forecast, go-to-market plans and operating plan for a service and support operation to build a legacy/aftermarket support business for DoD equipment, capitalizing on a contract manufacturer’s existing capabilities. Developed a customized training program and process for business development, marketing, engineering and support staff to enable them to respond to Government proposals. Added 20% to serviceable market.

Worked with a medium sized privately held company to develop a succession plan for running the business as owners stepped up to less active Board oversight. Helped devise handover strategy, created position specifications for key executive team members, recruited and successfully placed several C level executives.

Led cultural awareness, organizational identity development, and team building to revitalize a 70 year old manufacturing company.
